The keyhole limpet is their neighbor in the near shore and is a metaphor for the sun that makes all life in the surface zone of the ocean possible

My silhouette is made up of a near-shore marine algae or seaweed called Feather Boa which is a  favorite haunt of the Giant Pacific Octopus

Nocturne Octopus Red Hawk taking the form of GiantOctopus are most active at night, which inspired me to create a moonlit version of this quirky, blue blooded and intelligent creature. Image Size: 18"w X 30"h This image comes on a 1 5 8 deep panel made from FSC Birch with black lacquered sides, printed with archival inks, and sealed with matte varnish and UV coating.
