1970s Graphic Jean Varon Check Dress designer-james-galanos Carosa di Roma was aWhat a fabulous checked Jean Varon dress! Made of a beautiful cotton fabric it is easy to wear and has wonderful lines. The bodice is cut to fit to the body and has a deep front and back plunge. The skirt is quite dramatic and cut on an A line to the floor. The fabric helps it to feel full. I love how he took strips of a smaller checked fabric and used them as flat piping to highlight the cut of the bodice. It manages to be sexy and yet feel a little
